WHY I CHOSE GOLD CANYON

I have been asked why I chose to start a Gold Canyon business when there must be a gazillion direct sales companies out there. Okay, maybe a gazillion is a slight exaggeration. lol  But there are quite a few companies with all kinds of products.  Good products.  So why Gold Canyon?

#1 - The Products!  If you read my About page, you know that I have used Gold Canyon products for over 10 years.  So, I am not only familiar with the products, but recommend and swear by them!  That was a pretty good start for making my decision!  I am also passionate about the Gold Canyon products.  I love, love, love candles and home fragrance and am very particular about the products I buy.  I won’t spend money on something that I don’t feel is worth it.  Bottom line.  And the Gold Canyon products are so worth it!  And they have a line of jewelry now too!  Uh oh. lol
To be specific, the two main reasons I chose Gold Canyon are:

#2 - The Business Opportunity!  What’s better than sharing a business opportunity that provides extra money or a full-time income for doing something fun?!  Gold Canyon provides a great opportunity for stay-at-home moms to be home with the kids and earn an income, working moms looking to make extra income or replace their full-time income working from home and around the kid’s schedules, college students who want to work around their school schedule without cramping their style, a retiree who wants to be working on his/her own terms, or someone looking to escape the corporate world (me!).  The base commission is 25% and you don’t have to invest in inventory, so the start-up cost for your own business is minimal!  Currently, the basic start-up package is $39!  You can select this link to see more about it and the larger package, which is only $99!  “Everything you need to sparkle!

That’s really it.  Fantastic products at great prices and a limitless business opportunity!  That is why I chose to become a Gold Canyon Independent Demonstrator.

IT ALL MAKES SCENTS!

Hi!  I thought it would be a good idea to give you some information on some of the common fragrance families.  Gold Canyon has nine fragrance families and I think the descriptions will you determine what you like, until you experience the real thing!

Citrus  These notes can be tart or tangy and consist of citrus fruits like grapefruits, lemons, limes and oranges.

Herbs & Greens  These notes smell fresh and natural and are made up of greens like foliage, grasses and herbs like mint and eucalyptus.

Fruity  These notes can be sweet and juicy and consist of fruits like apples, berries and melons.

Floral  These notes can be delicate and sweet and are made up of flowers like jasmine, lilac and rose.

Gourmand  These notes are rich and creamy.  They consist of edibles like vanilla and caramel.

Musk  These notes are powdery with hints of sweet and are used in most fragrances as a preservative.

Spice  These notes are bold and rich and consist of spices like cinnamon and clove.

Ozonic  These notes are very outdoorsy and fresh and are made up of natural items like marine and air.

Woody  These notes are natural and earthy and are made of trees like cedar wood and balsam.

The higher quality scents of Gold Canyon combine parts of multiple categories and are formulated to give you a genuine, unique Gold Canyon scent!

THE EVOLUTION OF CANDLES

People have been using candles for over 5,000 years.  It has been said that the ancient Egyptians used torches made by soaking the core of reeds in melted animal fat.  Of course, they had no wicks, but served their purpose by  providing much needed light.

However, it is the ancient Romans who are said to have developed the first wicked candles by dipping rolled papyrus in melted tallow or beeswax.  They used these candles to light their homes, assist with night travel and in religious ceremonies.

Candles were also used as far back as 165 B.C. for celebration of Hanukkah, the Jewish Festival of Lights.  It is reported that the Emperor Constantine had candles used for an Easter service in the 4th century.  Needless to say, candles have been used for centuries for various reasons.

Fortunately for us, we are now able to use candles for the ambiance and many fragrances available!  I find it so relaxing to see the flicker a flames with a fragrant aroma in the air. ;)

Candles also add a welcoming and cozy accent to any decor!  I sometimes choose a candle that specifically blends with my decor to give a pop of color to a vignette or table setting.

Other times, I don't care what color it is, I just want a particular scent for my own aromatherapy.  No matter why I choose a candles, I always enjoy!
